Jordan Everest
Musical & Technical Director
Creative Assistant
Jordan is a professional Singer/Actor, Arranger, Recording & Live Audio Engineer, Producer, and Songwriter from Salina, Kansas with two Associates Degrees in Music & Audio Engineering from Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC). During his time at KCKCC, Jordan was a Singer and Live Sound Engineer/Choir President for their Vocal Music Department, traveling around the country, working alongside many well-known groups, such as The New York Voices & Take 6. Out of college, Jordan was hired as a Lead Vocalist and Vocal Captain for Royal Caribbean Entertainment and spent 3 contracts traveling the world with them. Back in Kansas City, Jordan spends his time working with Phil for VEP, as a Technical Director for the Dance Out Competition, commercial acting, singing with the Crossroad Sound & Patrick Lentz Band, and managing his own musical ventures through Something Silver Music.
The stage is no stranger to Jordan. His first musical production was as an orphan in Salina Community Theatre’s “Oliver” at the age of 5 and up throughout High School. "Fortunately," that role landed him a number of other roles at SCT, spiraling his addiction for the limelight and an interest in music and theatre. By the age of 10, he started taking guitar lessons and slowly figured out good combinations of the white and black notes on the piano. In his freshman year of High School, some friends showed him how cool it was to record oneself using Audacity, thus teaching him some songwriting basics and recording techniques while focusing on musical theatre and show choir at school. It was of much thanks to his professional swing and jazz vocalist Uncle Les though, that around this time, Jordan was able to put his performing, guitar playing, and live sound experience to the test as a featured artist & engineer in his occasional local shows and even earn a few smaller shows of his own. Much of his earliest vocal instruction is also credited to Les.
Out of high school, Jordan spent 2 years at K-State as a member of The K-State Singers Show Choir for which he initially decided to go to the school. Through a number of connections at K-State, Jordan eventually found himself a member of Cadence Men's Collegiate A Cappella group after being invited to arrange a medley for the group in his sophomore year. A cappella and arranging music has been at the forefront of his mind ever since. Jordan still works as a commissioned arranger and has earned several other arranging jobs through his connections at K-State and Worlds of Fun.
Jordan is also an avid recycler, recently going plastic-free, and has enjoyed a (mostly) plant-based diet since 2009.
"Hugest thanks to VEP for providing me the ultimate dream and creative outlet in music. I cannot wait to explore the reaches of this company!"
